The Virtual League
Lincs Bell Target Virtual League 2025 – Official Rules
1. General Principles
The Lincs Bell Target Virtual League (VL) is built on trust, honesty, and a sense of fair play.
This league is designed to allow shooters to compete without excessive travel, while
maintaining a fun and competitive environment.
2. Participation
-
The Virtual League is opt-in—only registered shooters will be included in the standings.
-
Each competitor must nominate a home venue when joining.
-
All participants must adhere to these rules to ensure fair and consistent competition.

3. Scoring
-
Scores for the Virtual League are taken from the first three rounds of a qualifying event.
-
The total score is the sum of the first three rounds, plus the number of bells hit in those rounds.
-
Example: If a shooter scores 25.5, 26, and 24.5, their total score is 76 plus any bells rung.
-
Only the first three rounds count—subsequent rounds in the same event do not contribute to the VL score.
4. Qualifying Events
-
Each venue must pre-nominate events that will count towards the VL.
-
Only scores from these designated events will be used in the Virtual League standings.
-
A venue may reschedule a cancelled event due to unforeseen circumstances, but only at the venue level—not for individual shooters.

5. Standardisation & Fair Play
-
All venues must use the same scoring system.
-
No venue may use modified scoring methods—scoring must be consistent across all VL events.
-
A bell is only awarded when the target rings and resets.
-
All scores will be publicly posted on the Lincs Bell Target Facebook page to ensure transparency.

6. League Format
-
The Virtual League is split into two sections:
-
Summer League: April to August 2025 (10 qualifying events).
-
Winter League: October 2025 to February 2026 (10 qualifying events).
-
Only the first 7 events a competitor shoots in will count towards their final VL score.
-
Once a competitor completes 7 events, their league score is final for that season.
7. Conduct & Sportsmanship
-
This league is about fairness, honesty, and enjoyment.
-
Any attempts to manipulate scores or gain an unfair advantage will result in disqualification.
-
While competition is encouraged, sportsmanship and respect must be maintained at all times.

8. Final Notes
-
The Virtual League is intended to bring the community together while fostering a spirit of friendly competition.
-
By participating, all competitors agree to abide by these rules and uphold the integrity of the sport.
